When sending SMS campaigns, you will be prompted to set goals before you send out your campaigns.
To set the desired end goals for the SMS sending, click Set Your Goals (as highlighted in the screenshot above).
The subsequent screen displays KPIs for the different goal types that you can set for the SMS sending. In case the SMS that you are sending also includes a landing page, you can set performance and conversion goals for the Landing Page as well.
1. SMS Sending Goals
These goals are meant for setting performance targets for the SMS(s) being sent.
For example, the number of SMSs delivered, or the number of clicks received on the landing page URL, the number of unsubscribes, etc.
You can:
- Enter the KPI performance targets manually using the Goal Rate % fields as shown in the below screenshot; Or
- Autofill the KPI performance targets using a pre-saved goal template (as highlighted in the screenshot below). These templates are meant to serve as a starting point. You can always edit the entries as per your requirements.
2. Landing Page Performance Goals
Use this goal type to set overall performance targets for a landing page, i.e., the visitor response and behavior regarding your landing page.
For example:
- the number of visitors,
- page views,
- clicks,
- bounces,
- form abandonment, etc.
As explained above, you can enter the target KPI values manually or autofill them from a template.
Note: For each of these KPIs, you can either type in:
- percentage targets, or
- absolute numbers.
3. Landing Page Conversion Goals
Using this goal type, you can set performance targets for the widgets used in your landing pages.
For example, you can set click targets for your:
- CTA buttons,
- hyperlinked images, or
- coupon redemptions, etc.
Here too, you can enter the target KPI values manually or autofill them from a goal template.
Note: In case you decide to skip goal setting at the time of SMS sending, you can set goals for the sending later as per your convenience.
Once you have set goals and distributed your campaign, you can monitor the campaign performance with respect to the set goals in real-time!
